Domingo Lamas Leal

(Founder of Leal’s TireShop)

“Domingo Lamas Leal is the oldest of 13 children, Domingo through sweat and hard work was the first to open Leal’s Tire Shop back in 1975 in the east side of Dallas on the 500 Block of Carrol Avenue. Teaching his brothers everything he knew about the business and later helped them open their own business around the Dallas area. Those who knew him well, will deeply miss him. Not only his family members but all his friends and loyal dedicated customers he made through out the years.”

The Gentleman in the video is an old friend of Domingo Leal. In the video, the gentleman describes how great of a person Domingo was. He mentions “Not only was he a good business man but a kind and humble person as well” . He describes a particular day  on how Domingo was approach by a customer who had a set of bad tires and told Domingo that they didnt have the money to pay for them at the moment. But that didnt stop Domingo from putting a set of new tires on his customers car. He told his employees to go ahead and put the tires on so that his customer could get back on the road and get to work. The Customer being thankful for his gratitude, later returned that week to pay him for the tires. Through out time people found out how great of a person Domingo was and had many customers afterwards.

Evangelina Rodriguez Leal

“Evangelina Rodriguez Leal 60, of San Marcos, Formally of Dallas, went to her resting place amongst the Angels in Heaven on March 3, 2012. She was born June 1, 1951 in Ruskin, Florida to late Leopoldo Rodriguez and Esperanza Guzman Rodriguez. Evangelina married Alfredo in the fall of 1974, and worked by his side in the tire business that was started in east Dallas on the Carrol Avenue By Domingo Leal. She will always be remembered for her open mind and heart, Thoughtfulness and her love for her family and life. Mrs. Leal is survived by her husband Alfredo, som: Santiago Gonzalez and daughters: Michelle Castillo and Hilda Leal, along with 8 grandchildren, 8 brothers and sisters: Roberto Rodriguez, Mone Rodriguez, Jr, Esmeralda Quintanilla, Veronica Garcia and Hilda Gomez, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Sindia Rodriguez and Esperanza Rodriguez, as well as two nephews.”
